You should have already completed the Level 2 qualification or have some relevant experience and knowledge of the industry. You will need GCSE English and Maths at grade C (4) or above. You will also have to complete and pass a formal interview and a progression assessment.
The qualification will help you gain an understanding of the skills required within the electrotechnical sector. You will cover compulsory aspects such as:work safely and effectivelydesign, construct, test and commission electrical systemsmethods of supervisionelectrical science and principlesregulations and lawdiagnose and repair electrical faults.
